Dave Gillis

Dave Gillis was born in Boston and got his first guitar when he was five years old. He was raised on a steady dose of folk and bluegrass music but also was drawn to the great blues men of the era. By age sixteen, he was playing at coffee shops in Greenwich Village and Long Island. As a young man he fronted several blues bands and played the bar circuit for over twenty years. But the songwriting was always the most important part of Dave’s musical journey. He is considered to be one of America’s best unknown songwriters. In recent years, Dave has been composing and recording his music. A well-established guitarist and wordsmith. He also plays lead guitar on the new release from The Redemption Center, Land of Plenty.
